That’s why we’re proud to announce our sponsorship of Team GB’s weightlifting squad, helping the next generation of athletes represent their country on the global stage.
The partnership will see Pristine Condition back a series of quarterly elite training camps for English Squads as part of their long term preparation for the 2018 Commonwealth games in Brisbane.
This new facility will also provide a great opportunity for up and coming coaches who will develop their skills alongside a number of Senior International coaches, as the sport gears up for future successes.
Announcing the new partnership, BWL CEO Ashley Metcalfe explained:
“This is fantastic news for English weightlifting, especially at a time when we do not have funding from UK Sport for elite men.
Glasgow was the most successful Commonwealth Games for 12 years, but we need to build on this momentum — and if Team England is to be successful in Brisbane, it is essential the preparation starts now.
We are looking for individuals with honesty, commitment, and a willingness to win and perform beyond expectation on the big stage.”
Managing Director Davy Snowdon MBE added:
“Weightlifting has been in the wilderness a little bit and, as there was no funding for the British team for the world championships, I was very proud to provide it,” says Managing Director Davy Snowdon MBE. We’re absolutely delighted to support the sport that shaped our business and help these squads compete at the highest level.”
The impact of this support is already being felt. After achieving five medals and six fourth-place finishes at the recent Commonwealth Games, Team GB’s weightlifting profile is on the rise—and we’re proud to help build that momentum.
