We have achieved a 70% average over the year for TRACA submission, this equates to 757 TRACAs submitted resulting in 84% reduction in Manual Handling Accidents.When we started this program the brief was that I wanted something different but effective, and this program continues to deliver positive results for SSL at Peterlee.
The success of this program is in part based on the support from Pristine Condition and the acceptance of the employees at SSL in wanting to make the change, its not always easy, but our results show through commitment and focus a step change can be achieved in reducing accidents in the work place. We are now planning phase two, which will be to provide follow up training to our support group and new starters.
